Can I haz plaster pleez

I think I broke my toe:

This was done during the St Andrews beach korfball tournament in which my team finished eighth - a pretty good effort since we were half beginners and I was nominally the captain. Our first team won it overall, although I at least scored against them in a 5-1 defeat.

Buggered toe was caused by my kicking a team-mate on the ankle, which she said was quite painful. I agreed. Playing the last two or three matches wasn't so much fun afterwards, due in part to the toe and partly because running around in deep sand can be a bit tiring, especially after seven hours under a hot sun. Got a lovely tan line on my forehead...

Another team-mate also broke a toe.

Next week the Mavericks bandwagon limps to Stockholm, where we'll hopefully win more than one game!

In other news, a good bit of excellent cup rugby this weekend. Well done Leeds (thoroughly entertaining game) and Hull FC (scraped past a stuttering Bradford) who are now into the semi-finals with St Helens and Wakefield.

ow ow ow!

I forgot all about the weekend away actually, but I would prefer to play a few games in practice before trying a tournament of any level really.

Good luck next weekend.

No worries, although I partly contend that the best way to learn is by playing! The beginners' tourney in September (ish) might be good.
