Yikes! Glad to be sat down on a chair that's not moving at close to the speed of sound...

Got to the wedding coach in Essex with a minute to spare thanks to the frenetic driving of on eof our companions - I never thought it would be possible to average close to 65mph door to door while driving from Edinburgh to Southend via Birmingham and London motorways...just as a reprise we managed 75mph on the way back - I decided to close my eyes whilst we went through the borders...

Twas a fun wedding, where unexpected people happened to be. We drank lots from the free bar, and I availed myself of lots of Talisker, even though I'm not a whisky drinker - one cannot pass up a quarter pint of single malt for free! Much fun was had anyway.

Leeds got beat by Bradford again, so after a season with much promise, we're going to have to work bloody hard to beat Wigan next week and get to the championship final. Must go and give massage to poor cramped flatmate, followed by sleep!

It was all right. Two and a half years was enough, though. There were a few decent pubs, I had some good friends there, the sea was great... Southend's a nice place when the sun shines :)
