Today is the shortest day folks. Happy Solstice! 7h 49m from sunrise to sunset, and by that score, about six hours of proper daylight if it's not cloudy, which it will be later. That's in Edinburgh anyway. The latest sunrise however is not until the 5th of January, just in case you thought getting up was easier from here on in...
