(no subject)

I've just realised why I want the House of Lords, our unelected legislative body, to stay right where it is. The fact that it is unelected enables it to be shielded from popular reactionism and shit decision-making. This enables me to cope with the fact that a lot of them are old Tories with not quite the wide world view. Some shit you have to deal with.

It appears that Bourbons are the most popular biscuit, and I would have put Jaffa Cakes into the poll if they were biscuits!

And, fuck me it's not going to be nice weather at the weekend *shiver*

Yes, I think the House of Lords has a raison d'etre (as it stands) too. I think we need an unelected check on the careerist fuck-heads who create our legislature.

Aah, the great 'Jaffa Cake: biscuit or cake?' debate...

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see it as being worth debating - it's called a cake anyway! Quite clear methinks :O)

*agrees*

(lords and jaffa cakes)

...Although I have to say the mighty digestive is king. What kind of company do you keep on your LJ? Bourbons are to digestives what Robbie Williams is to Joe Cocker - poncey noncey creamy airy fairy label-wearing all-ritz-and-no-substance pretending piles of shite.

That is all.

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Digestives are a bit boring though, although very nice. Fox's Ginger Crunch Creams are not only from Batley, but are the best combination by a long chalk :O)

Yeh. Like a wee cat shit between two bits of cardboard they are.

*SPPPIT*

Ok Bruce time to calm down.

[identity profile] blackworx.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I just did my breathing exercises. All is calm noooowwww....

La la la!

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
How dare you slag the ginger crunch cream????????

NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

*Evie goes off to cry*

[identity profile] blackworx.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't cry! Ginger crunch creams are alright, certainly in comparison to Bourbons they're light years ahead, and I certainly wouldn't refuse one from the vicar (unlike bourbons, for which heinous crime I'd stuff one into each of his or her eye sockets then drop kick them into the middle of next week where I'd do the same again) but I don't talk about that anymore because my veins start popping.

*twitchtwitch* :)

Long live ginger anything, especially small girls called P, Boo to Bourbons

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
As long as they're in a good mood :O)

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Anything remotely ginger wins always without arguement !!!

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
ooooo me know - bourbons are sooo crap - I'd rather go without a biccy than bother with one of those - my daughter is a total heathen tho - *shock* *horror* she likes them - we can let her off tho she is 5 and I can always re-educate her in the art of the yummy biscuit at a slightly later date.
Or I could always buy hundreds of them so she makes her self sick and never wants tto see another again .................could that be classed as child abuse??? - best not do that one afterall I'll just trust that she will see the light!!!

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
He was on about bourbons!

[identity profile] blackworx.livejournal.com 2005-03-10 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, given the choice of two subjects, one concerning our human rights and another concerning biscuits, I have chosen biscuits. Who said apathy is dead?
