Another big earthquake off Sumatra a couple of hours ago! About magnitude 8.2 which is bloody big but nowhere near the big one in December. No tsunami spotted as yet - probably lucky this time...

Such a shame on everyone out there....

It doesn't sound too bad, although the mental stress must be crappy...

You know if there are any relatives of mine out there anymore they must be nosedeep.

I donated through Oxfam but still feel like I haven't done enough.

The epicentre was only a few hundred miles away from the Boxing Day quake.

Yeh really lucky to have an earthquake and be buried alive eh? Sorry, I know what you mean! Could be worse I know and all that but why do some people always say it is lucky that things weren't worse? Looking on the bright side I can understand of course. It's damned unlucky when horrible things happen to people outwith their control anyway. E.g., 'Oh it could have been worse, his head could have been blown up too' Losing 3 limbs lucky then? :/

Aye it's all relative. Lucky that only a few hundred instead a few hundred thousand got squished this time...

I got a message from my sis - everything is ok with her! She is in Thailand at mo :(

Aye they're fine up there.

yes just I was a little unsure at first where abouts it had hit - I think she sent the message to stop my mum from worrying unnecessarily - as she would worry without checking the details.

Amanda lives in Sydney she is on her way home :D - she stopped over at Thailand for a few days for a wedding though. I am sooo excited! and grinning loads as Lauren does not know she is gonna see Aunty Amanda very very soon!
