I am looking at the grey sky, deciding if it's going to rain, and wondering what to do today...! *laughs* I'm probably going to sit in front of some DVDs, having a bit of a gossip and several cups of tea... Not a bad way to spend a Bank Holiday, of course!! If I was up there, I'd invite you round to share. But since I'm not there, I say you should drag people along to a pub, and revel in the joy of a Bank Holiday!!! :)
Well, I am up too early for someone who went to bed after 5. Today I shall be dying my hair and meeting a mate this afternoon for coffee I think. That is all! No pub, no, keep me away!
ah, I don't really know much about digital cameras. don't understand them. *techno fear*
the only advice I've got is based on the things I don't like about my digital camera: make sure the battery life is good, make sure it's only one or two button clicks to change between the settings that you will most often want to change, get as small a camera as you can afford... and then my advice runs out because I don't really know anything about them!
get one with more than 3 megapixels optical and digital zoom and deffinately go for one with a lcd viewing screen on the back. nothing else fancy matters if your just looking for good photos. I reccomend fuji easy to work and asthetically pleasing...
aahh not like I am being cheeky or owt - but it's a bank hol AND sunny in Newcastle......but I haven't visited my nana in a while ......hmmm /me wonders what nice things she will make me for my lunch
we've already been out for a picnic in the glorious sunshine, sitting by the doubs river scarfing bread, cheese, ham and bacon flavour bugel crisps... yum...
we'll be back in edinburgh soon enough though, rained in and grey.. hehe

Erm digital, with some sort of optical zoom, and webcam capabilities. Maybe £100 range. Any advice?

Digital zoom is all very well, but it'll make your pics look cruddy - I've had no bother with the Kodak Easyshare range as a starting point.
