Back from down south again. Job interview wasn't bad, place seemed okay to work in at a guess, although if I got an offer, I've still no idea at all whether I'd take it.

Afterwards, met [livejournal.com profile] flickerswitch and her flatmate Emily, which was very nice! Maybe next time I'm down I can meet them for a night out instead of just an afternoon cuffing at pool :P

Being back home reminded me of a vaguely embarassing situation I found myself in once, and I shall relate that to you here.

Myself and my best mate of the time (Neil) had arranged to go out somewhere, and I went round to his house to get him, and he wasn't ready being held back by his girlfriend who was crashing there at the time. Of course, his mum shouted him, and he made getting ready noises, and said he'd be down in a minute. So I'm sitting in the kitchen chatting with his mum, and eventually after about five minutes, the floor-creaking sounds of pottering about gradually took on a more rhythmic quality. Small-talk with a friend's mum becomes much more stilted and difficult when you can hear her son happily shagging away in the room directly above! Removes the possibly of saying such things as "he's taking his time isn't he?"!

Anyway, enough of this gay banter.

Oops!

Did you inform him of the attributes of his creaking floor later on? It sounds like he deserved it :)

I'm not sure I did actually! Maybe shy of talking about that stuff at that age? Who knows? :)

Hehe!

I guy I used to work with answered his phone one day (thinking his mate was calling) by saying "can't talk just now - too busy shagging."

.....it was his mum!!!
