By the way, I'm going to hide my LJ e-mail address for the moment, as the spambots have at last worked out that a couple of tabs is much mangling, and I'm getting hammered by spam. It's very easy to work out what my addresses are if you don't already have them...

Most of it for me was coming from addresses spoofing livejournal.com. When I went in, I think it may have been the LJ chat address that wasn't mangled at all...

There's an option on your edit profile page to limit who can see your contact info. If you have that set to 'friends only', shouldn't that stop the spambots?

Aye. I think the problem was the LJ talk address not being mangled though, we shall see.
