I meant to ask earlier, but did any of you notice this happen?

SEISMIC ALERT: PENICUIK, MIDLOTHIAN 9 DECEMBER 2007 15:59 UTC 2.3 ML

BGS have received several reports from residents in the Penicuik, Midlothian area, of a felt event yesterday (9 December) at approximately 16:00 UTC. The felt reports described "we noticed a strong thump from beneath the floor", "felt a rumbling which lasted no more than a second or two" and "felt a sideward motion of the house and heard a bang".

Yesterday’s event locates in the same region as a magnitude 2.3 ML earthquake which occurred ten days ago, on 30 November 2007, and was also felt with intensities between 3 and 4 EMS.

I was out of Penicuik on the 9th, the one day I'm not there and something exciting happens! I wasn't aware of the one before if I was here that day. I remember Anna saying she felt it on the 9th though and my friends parents did aswell.

It passed me by, until recently! Even the big Welsh earthquake in 1984 which made national news didn't make me notice - my mum thought I was just bouncing around the room downstairs when her dressing table was rattling.

Yar, I felt the earthquakes on two separate occassions; it was quite exciting really!
