Request for geek advice!

Last night I reformatted the hard drive of a computer, reinstalled Windows 98, then tried to install the soundcard driver (for a Muse 5.1), which eventually seemed to work, until I tried to test it, whereupon it made the computer fall over. I've no idea why! Help!

I'm also looking for a means of obtaining MS Office (legitimately of course), for the computer in question. Any ideas anyone?

Don't mean to suggest the obvious, but you've definitely installed drivers for Windows 98? There are different drivers for your sound card for different operating systems:

A mainly legit way to get office cheap is to get a student
or school pupil to buy it at student rates for you.
(assuming your no longer a student yourself)

I saves about 50% of the price I seem to recall.

You being a Warringotn fan and alll...is Leroy Rivett still playing for you? I heard he'd signed a while ago, but Haven't heard much about him playing. He's an old team-mate of mine!

Haha I hope a SL team signs him, so I'll still be able to see him, er, I mean see him playing brilliant rugby :o)

So, I'm looking forward to our new ground! I'll miss Wilderspool though, it held many good times, lol!

Shame I never went to Wilderspool - in fact I don't think I've ever seen Warrington play live! I don't remember ever seeing them at Headingley...hmmm. Well I've not missed much I suppose... ;O)
