Raar it's cup final day! I so wish I was going to Cardiff, but I'll have to watch the boys (including a couple of old club-mates and old opponents too) knocking the hell out of eachother on telly this afternoon instead. BBC1 will be showing the match, and it should be worth a look. This type of rugby relies more on impact, fast handling and individual power and skill rather that the more technical skills and wrestling-type strengths of the fifteen-a-side code, and there is no need for fans of one not to watch the other, which I often find to be the case. As for now, I'm just waiting for the cricket to start, which should occupy me until the rugby starts.

As for now, I'm off to buy a paper, and to show the Leeds colours.

And I've just spotted the first browning of leaves on the trees; this cool late-summer weather must have kicked Autumn off a bit early. Mind you, it is nearly September anyway...
