Wow, impressively, Ireland managed to come back in the dying seconds against Lebanon and snatch a 16-16 draw (to go with the18-18 result in Dublin last year), they snatched the penultimate place in next year's Rugby League World Cup. Lebanon will have to go through the repechage against Scotland or Wales (probably the Scots judging by the recent form of Wales in hammering Papua New Guinea last week). Scotland v Wales in Glasgow on Sunday, shame I can't make it due to korfball commitments, but get along to Anniesland to give them your support!

In other news, the USA will play Samoa in the second repechage tie, the winners to play off for a ticket (or thirteen) to Australia 2008!
