I think it's such a shame that happiness is almost never pure and complete-it's always tinged by somebody else not being happy. The world can be a cruel place, but I'm an optimist-bad or inappropriate feelings can always be converted with an almost intangible change into things of beauty :O)

this is very true. but people are very rarely just happy in themselves anyway - or just sad either.
