I've known it implicitly for years, but only just now really thought of it explicitly: I'm just not the sort of person that could get away with calling people very rude things (cunts, for example) for humour value unless I knew them very very very well. There are about five people I think I could get away with this with. Mind you, I suppose I'm comparing myself to the likes of cr4k, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised!

You could do it if you wink more...and get women to sit on your knee while laughing like a medieval jailer. Also never talk with anyone about a serious subject unless it is one other person and no one else is around.

The problem with me insulting people is it gets taken really seriously, even if I mean it in a jokey way. I reckon it's because it's unexpected... possibly.
