Vote vote vote vote vote

Just been and voted, my first ever Labour vote! Only for the region though, tactics won through. Stuck with Lib Dem for the constituency. As for the council, I had to go along party lines, although I gave my sixth preference to the Liberal Party (yes, not the Lib Dems) and my seventh to the independent, cos I'm nice like that.

No Nationalists (British or Scottish) got votes (from me anyway), and the random Tory candidate who stood in the lobby of the polling station mumbling to himself didn't engender any desire to vote for that bunch either.

Beltane was good, very nice and once I got used to the cold, fun too. Not the wonderful group togetherness we had last year, but great to be part of it all, and our handfasting was sweet!

Hmm, yes, if he were in my party I'd keep him hidden from site on polling day!

I got pissed off by the SNP and the Lib Dems driving around town in their vans playing loud music today >:(

Hmm, I'm not sure why they would ever think that sort of thing would gain them votes...

i'm amused at the number of people who are not voting green because of their appalling waste of paper during their advertising campaign.. :p

Waste of paper? What on? Flyers?

On flyers, handing out cards to everyone on the street, paper windmills... I mean, yeah, it was recycled paper, but it's not being recycled the second time - just dropped on the street :\ I've had to walk past their little stall outside Tesco all this week and last.

Aye, a bit of an own goal. Tough to get the word out otherwise however...

Pagan marriage basically, hands are tied and then we jump the broom, it lasts for a year and a day.

Interesting thoughts on Politics. You should write to Jack McConnell telling him you cast your first Labour vote to give him and the yellows a third term of their Government; which most people hardly talked about.

It was the first election since 1997 I haven't voted in because I wasn't in the country on registration day or polling day. I'm not sure I would even have bothered if I had been in Scotland. I think it's good to get a change though, I used to have religion against the Nats but the mere fact of change might well get people a bit more engaged with the now eight years old renaissance of Scottish democracy.
