Been lazy with posting lately, so here's a potted summary of the past few days:

Weekend before last was the Beltane Fire people's weekend away - we camped for a couple of nights in Broughtonknowe along with lots of tree, a lovely fire and a few inches of snow. This was very enjoyable, if a little chilly.

Last weekend appeared to mainly involve running around being busy, given that bunnyphone was out of town and the dog needed walking, and I had stuff to be getting on with, meetings at work etc etc.

On Friday, we took a trip to Aberdeen (it really is very grey), and thence to Inverurie or thereabouts for the wedding of one of my oldest mates. Much silliness ensued, lots of fun too.

Today, we painted the hall, and I painted myself, as you may have seen elsewhere. The hall is now orangey yellow, I am less so. Next time I move the ladders, I'll remove the tin of paint first. Promise!


In other news, I've just eaten loads of chocolate.

In further news, I'm amused at the audacity of Castleford in getting Dwayne Chambers to trial for them - he's never even seen a game of rugby league as far as I can tell, but the column inches they've got from it are prodigious. Now they just need to win a few games...

He completely failed at his American Football attempt... I watch with interest. Is he 'tough enough' for rugby league? He sure as hell has no future in track athletics anymore, given the bad feeling from every side, and the young up-and-coming (CLEAN) sprinters. I'll be interested to see if he's actually any good. :) Not that Castleford are doing well themselves, of course!

He might get the odd game if he's lucky, but I'd be amazed if he could even get a handle on the basic skills!
