Sometimes you think you do the right thing - at the time it seems right, and you go on in good faith and live your life. Then you find out that what you thought was completely wrong...

Yep, that happens to me far too often, too.

I guess all you can do is explain to anyone who's been hurt and just hope they accept that you genuinely acted in good faith.

Or if it's a case of having missed an opportunity for yourself then yes DOH! is about all you can say....
