(no subject)

So tell me, how do I go for years running the same run, only once scraping under 30 minutes, and all the times I've done it this year I've been at round about or just under 33 minutes, and then today run 28.08? That's 1.32 faster than ever before, and I wouldn't even say I'm fit right now. Very strange, but bodes well for the 10k on Sunday, which apparently is having highlights on Channel 5. I might dig out a silly t-shirt :O)

Great Nothern Run?

(That is a complete and utter guess of course and I could be speaking utter crap...) :)

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah of course! Or Great North Run anyway. I was thinking of Guns n Roses, which didn't really make sense...

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
tee hee - oh dear hon ;o)

[identity profile] candyfox.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking on GNER at first... Which would probably have made less sense than Guns'n'Roses... ha ha

OMG - I am so worried about you two's brains ...damn I used caps letters instead of full words again hmm wonder what bizarre suggestions you will come up with this time!!!

[identity profile] candyfox.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, as I don't run, I thought it was a pretty good guess by me! How about "Glaciers Never Read" or "Galactic Nebula Racing" or "Got No Rodents"... or something(!)

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Nearly - Great North Run - half marathon - Newcastle to the coast (south shields) is a killer - but fantastic. AND (this is where I get all proud of the North East) - has the most amount of participants for a half marathon in the world!!

Sounds like evil exercise from doom! ha ha I should at least start skiing again or something... *lol*

[identity profile] angelevie.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
or something...

hmmmm I could think of a few good exercises..but my angelic nature would be questioned again I've no doubt ;o)

[identity profile] candyfox.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, so can I. ;) Usually hated most conventional (PE type) exercise. Might go abroad and do some watersports. :D Although I do admit that running does appeal to me, I just wouldn't ahve the courage to do it! ha ha

Yay for cheerleaders!

[identity profile] kynon.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
you bleeding better! We'll expect to be cheered away and cheered over the finish line!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/dee_/ 2005-05-04 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, had better try to enlist posse then (cf. Lorraine & Indy ;-p) - what time does it start & how long will it take you to get back for the finish?

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Starts at ten on the Meadows, we'll finish before eleven depending on when we get across the start line.

[identity profile] kynon.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
what Ian said. I reckon we'll cover it in about 45 minutes.

[identity profile] bunnyphone.livejournal.com 2005-05-05 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Shall we bring a picnic? ;o)

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/dee_/ 2005-05-06 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, great idea, that would be funky! :-D So long as it's not raining...

[identity profile] kynon.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, I just heard that as well! :S

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Look out for the cameras :O)

[identity profile] silverclear.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
how far is your run? where is it? *curious*

[identity profile] cheekbones3.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's something like four miles. I go from St.Leonard's down Dalkeith Road, along East and West Mayfield, down Mayfield Road, along West Savile Terrace, left then right onto MacDowall Road, right then left back onto West Savile Terrace, along to the junction, up Blackford Avenue to the top, up Kilgraston Road and then onto Marchmont Road to Jawbone Walk, turn left and go round the edge of the Meadows, up Melville Drive and then up to South Clerk Street, left then right onto Montague Street, along back to St. Leonard's, then finish at the end of my street. It takes in about five previous residences - I'm good at living along the route somehow!
