So tell me, how do I go for years running the same run, only once scraping under 30 minutes, and all the times I've done it this year I've been at round about or just under 33 minutes, and then today run 28.08? That's 1.32 faster than ever before, and I wouldn't even say I'm fit right now. Very strange, but bodes well for the 10k on Sunday, which apparently is having highlights on Channel 5. I might dig out a silly t-shirt :O)

Ah of course! Or Great North Run anyway. I was thinking of Guns n Roses, which didn't really make sense...

Well, as I don't run, I thought it was a pretty good guess by me! How about "Glaciers Never Read" or "Galactic Nebula Racing" or "Got No Rodents"... or something(!)

Nearly - Great North Run - half marathon - Newcastle to the coast (south shields) is a killer - but fantastic. AND (this is where I get all proud of the North East) - has the most amount of participants for a half marathon in the world!!

Yeah, so can I. ;) Usually hated most conventional (PE type) exercise. Might go abroad and do some watersports. :D Although I do admit that running does appeal to me, I just wouldn't ahve the courage to do it! ha ha

Right, had better try to enlist posse then (cf. Lorraine & Indy ;-p) - what time does it start & how long will it take you to get back for the finish?

Starts at ten on the Meadows, we'll finish before eleven depending on when we get across the start line.

It's something like four miles. I go from St.Leonard's down Dalkeith Road, along East and West Mayfield, down Mayfield Road, along West Savile Terrace, left then right onto MacDowall Road, right then left back onto West Savile Terrace, along to the junction, up Blackford Avenue to the top, up Kilgraston Road and then onto Marchmont Road to Jawbone Walk, turn left and go round the edge of the Meadows, up Melville Drive and then up to South Clerk Street, left then right onto Montague Street, along back to St. Leonard's, then finish at the end of my street. It takes in about five previous residences - I'm good at living along the route somehow!
