And I've just spotted the first browning of leaves on the trees; this cool late-summer weather must have kicked Autumn off a bit early. Mind you, it is nearly September anyway...

there were a fair amount of yellowy leaves underfoot down the water of leith - don't know if there's maybe some specific kind of tree that, er, moults? sheds? early or something?

From here I can see a sycamore, a rowan and an ash that are all doing the same. I'm guessing that's what they are by the way...
