In other news, it's my birthday next week, but since it's on a Tuesday, I'm just going to get pissed while presenting the quiz in the Auld Hoose, which may provide amusing viewing for you!

There are tentative ideas from dee_ to have a joint thing on the 16th for her and gibberling's birthdays with mine tacked on too, so more details about that should follow.

Yeah, it's a big change. If you take the plunge then you can look forward to 6 - 8 months of "oh for fuck's sake, what's going on". I can assure you it's worth it. Even the sight of a windows desktop these days makes me feel ill.

You don't need to learn to program it - modern distributions are extremely advanced, but you must try and forget the traditional preconceptions of what an operating system is that you have as a windows user and look at it with new eyes to stand a chance of getting to grips with it.
