Dec. 27th, 2005 11:01 pmWe had enough snow to turn me into a snowman in five minutes, but then it all melted just enough to freeze into a very pretty sheen of ice crystals, which should cause much merriment for those with enough time to watch people in high-heels running for buses.
According to the news, this is a "big freeze" (well, they said the Big Freeze would continue until Thursday at least). Surely not because there's been one day of snow-showers in the south-east of England, and realistic winter temperatures for a change? Oh no no no of course not.
Finally, I saw about a dozen meteors while walking home from this quiz this evening, so I'm assuming the Geminids (I think) are putting on a good show. With the cold air too, this is an excellent night to get out and see your first shooting star :)
And so to bed.
