One of those mornings...woke up late because I was going to the dentist, although on leaving the flat I discovered that the bicycle faeries had been in the night to relieve our stair of numerous convenient modes of transport. Cue running to the dentist to get there on time to find out that I'm having a wisdom tooth ripped out in a couple of weeks' time (I can hardly wait) and another broken filling fixed. And hopefully my false tooth re-glued. Got to work much later than hoped, and worked all day. Found out that I'll be working (eventually) in Environment and Rural Affairs, which, while being just a happening of circumstances, is coincidentally the area which I reckon may help me further my career interests the most. Quiz tonight, and I will be along to experience the smokelessness I missed out on last week. An interesting day all in all, and I've not even told everything! Not going to either :p
EDIT: Maybe I won't be doing the quiz after all! We'll see soon...
FURTHER EDIT: Woo, St.Helens and Bradford have drawn each other in the 5th round of the cup!

Date: 2006-04-05 11:57 am (UTC)When I got mine done, my dentist helpfully pointed out that you can alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen, so that you take one lot every 2 hours. Means you don't have that nasty half-hour at the end of the 4 hours :-)

Date: 2006-04-06 02:26 am (UTC)Lots of painkillers are probably a good idea. I went a bit mad afterwards, took the first dose then refused to take any others despite having three stitches in my mouth.
The dentist at the dental hospital said it was an extremely difficult extraction and she hadn't had to do one like that in ages. My dentist had refused to touch it.
You'll be fine. Are you getting it done at the dental hospital? They're lovely there.
Hope the bike faeries fall off and break a leg in the process.
