Well, had my worst ever games of real-life poker tonight, finishing seventh and ninth out of eight and nine respectively. Think I was bored or something. Also got drenched on the way there, and (un)reasonably wet on leaving too. Boo!

Otherwise, head is mushy from spending two days trying to fathom out ridiculously convoluted spreasheets regarding the prices of agricultural fertiliser (welcome to my shiny new job), although beginning to use my brain properly again seems to mean that I'm nowhere near as forgetful as I was a few weeks ago.

Also, flatmate has moved out, and I've changed rooms, so now my stuff fits in! Almost. [livejournal.com profile] bunnyphone helped moving stuff.

Some people are leaving town soon which is sad (most notably [livejournal.com profile] faerycake who I'll miss lots and lots), but it's just an excuse to visit other places, which partly makes up for it.

Dad's chemo is going surprisingly well.

Running the JogScotland 5k on Wednesday. My legs aren't looking forward to it, even though my lungs are perfectly happy with such a task!

Slayer's new album is apparently delayed a wee bit longer again, although the Christians over the pond are getting wound up over the armless, apparently drugged-up Jesus standing in a sea of blood with heads floating in it which will be the front cover. Also, the song Jihad is pissing off the "OMG you can't sing a song that's not completely pro good people anti terrorist-ragheads" brigade, which is a good thing. The latest single nearly made number one in Finland too. In other music news, Sepultura's new album is pretty damn good, mucho dissonance on the guitars and some speedy riffing and bassy goodness add together well on the first listen. I'm saving Ministry's latest offering until I can sit in peace for it for an hour in front of the speakers, as I hear it's very lively, and further rips into Georg la Shrub.

Am plotting to reprise my reiki and massage skills, and to brush up the tarot reading. Too much has slipped. Was pleased when moving however to find the book on auras again that [livejournal.com profile] mab got me ages ago, which is great.

Right, I think that's a fair catch-up, I'm off to bed.
