cheekbones3And as for Zimbabwe, I'm continually impressed by Mugabe's ingenuity and stupidity. First a large amount of farms run by white people are invaded (clearly the people aren't starving enough), and now I hear that seven people have been arrested for under-counting Mugabe's votes.
This after the police raids on the MDC (I suspect to try to get hold of the MDC's hard evidence of the actual results from each polling station), claims of irregularities necessitating a re-run of the election (after they failed to find the aforementioned evidence), continual claims of the necessity of a presidential run-off combined with a conspicuous failure to deliver any results to back up this assertion instead of the usual triumphalist trumpeting, all to the background of the shell of a formerly successful country.
Of course all this has been said elsewhere, and much more eloquently, but I still have to say it: For fuck's sake.
I'm pretty impressed with the Free Tibet protests however, especially the Golden Gate Bridge stunt currently in progress.
