As an atheist, I have some sympathy for his plight, but only some. While the content of his criticism of the company has merit, it's somewhat dumb to post negative opinions about your employer on the internet where anyone can read it. Especially as a temp on your first day, where you have zero employment rights.
If I started a company that had atheism written into the company mission statement, I might not appreciate some new guy on his first day putting on the internet that I was a godless freak. While I wouldn't fire them for holding opposing religious beliefs, I might fire them for having an antagonistic attitude towards my organisation in a public place. It's poor judgement to mock your boss in black and white with no control over who reads it.
This'll be the point where someone finds something I wrote in 1987 about my employer and forgot to lock the post...
