I saw Ring the other day...it was quite an enjoyable story, but if that's supposed to be scary, I don't know if I'll even bother seeing the american version.

And the anti-France thing in america is extremely pathetic, and paints the country as very childish. That's me being kind! I hope it stops soon, but judging by the actions of the senators, I really am not optimistic...

Not everyone is too happy with the "anti-France thing." Most of my friends and family are not participating in this kind of garbage.

I too was not impressed with The Ring. I didn't think the story was too bad, but scary? pssshh, yeah...uh-huh.

I cant be arsed with teh American remake of ring. It made me yawn. The 'original' ring was much better... Okay, maybe if I had been watching it with other perople I wouldn't have found it particularly scary, cos people distract me, but..
By myself, in a dark room so I can really get into the story..and having the phone go at the worst possible moment... really helps. That and maybe not having to constantly read the subtitles...

The American anti-france things is quite petty - especially the crap coming from Washington. But I would also say that France has had an anti-America thing going on for a very long time too (along with a lot of other continental Europeans). Neither perspective is defensible, but it diminishes my sympathy for the french. Who also slag off the British, by the way.

I suppose so, but I get the impression the the french are generally haughty, but not stupidly nasty as those across the pond are being.

I enjoyed the ring but I have never came accross any film that has scared the shit out of me......If you find any let me know!!!
