In other news, it's my birthday next week, but since it's on a Tuesday, I'm just going to get pissed while presenting the quiz in the Auld Hoose, which may provide amusing viewing for you!

There are tentative ideas from dee_ to have a joint thing on the 16th for her and gibberling's birthdays with mine tacked on too, so more details about that should follow.

actually, getting rid of IE is pointless if you still use Windows. Get a real operating system instead

:) I'm scared of the L word - I get the impression I'd have to learn how to program it, and would be worried about losing all the nice things I have going on with my current system!

Yeah, it's a big change. If you take the plunge then you can look forward to 6 - 8 months of "oh for fuck's sake, what's going on". I can assure you it's worth it. Even the sight of a windows desktop these days makes me feel ill.

You don't need to learn to program it - modern distributions are extremely advanced, but you must try and forget the traditional preconceptions of what an operating system is that you have as a windows user and look at it with new eyes to stand a chance of getting to grips with it.
