Think I should update for the nth time this weekend? Nah...don't think I could say anything useful at the moment. I'd love to say something, but I better let myself stew in my own crypticism/crypticness/crypticality/erm is there a word?

Good race by the way...nice crashes. Me happy!

There isn't a word! There should be. Which one do you reckon? I like crypticality.

Good race by the way...nice crashes

Hmm, I missed the crashes - did Oxford's oars crash into Cambridge's, or the other way round?? *grin*

Boat race? Pah! F1!

Yeah, I got that... *smile* I've still to get the hang of joking in the written word, clearly. I didn't watch the F1 race, tbh, and actually haven't got my head round the fact these new rules and stuff is actually making it interesting again...! :)

The most spectacular was definitely Alonso's crash right at the end, just before they stopped the race. Any word on how he is?

Ahem. The word would be crypticness. (There's always a word!)

Illusionary is the american equivalent of illusory. I used it quite deliberately for effect.

Point is, the english language, much like tv, is evolving (though thankfully not to the sounds of Coldplay). New words come into usage all the time, just as old ones die. Just the other day someone was wondering why you can be wistful but not full of wist. Well, you could be in the fifteenth century, but now you're just full of intent. And with english being the popular language it is, chances are people other than us are going to come up with some new words along the way.

And the only place I change my mind on this is when they spell colour and humour wrong. ;)

Hmm, much as I'd love to gang up against the lovely pedant-girl with you, but there's no 'pointful' cos there's already over a dozen antonyms to pointless... like, umm, appropriate, fitting, worthwhile, etc.
